Circleculture Gallery is pleased to announce its upcoming group show Paper Works. The exhibition focuses on paper as a medium, its extensive variety and creative potential.
Paper is one of the oldest mediums in visual art and gained its most influence through techniques such as letter pressing and the graphic arts. Within the twentieth century paper’s role as a neutral carrier of paint and text decreased and instead it was the material itself that became of importance. Nowadays, especially amongst Urban Artists, paper has again become a significant medium, from graphic design and illustration, to silkscreen printing and wheat paste cut outs and posters in the streets.
Paper Works will showcase explorations of the medium from Christian Awe, Kelsey Brookes, Jaybo Monk, XOOOOX, Katrin Fridriks, Stefan Strumbel, Anthony Lister, Kevin Earl Taylor, Anton Unai, Marco Grassi, Various & Gould, Aaron Rose and Oskar Rink. Through the presentation of different techniques and concepts this exhibition of paperworks makes one thing sure: paper works.

August 20, 2011 I was to busy to paint or so i guess . It happens so incredibly a lot the last year that i couldnt find a time to send some post or updates . i ll try my best to change that and will try to resume my year and share all shows and murals and actions.

Two weeks ago, Nico Zeh from the Made Space project in Berlin asks me i f i were interested of participating in a project including the soul singer Aloe Blacc and the classical composer Mihalj “Miki” Kekenj.the idea was to contribute a visual version of their I need a dollar string quartet version.
what you see is what came from this conversations and mutual influences . yesterday they performed in front of that piece in a packed venue. and i was amazed about the reactions. very happy to have share this moment...

Back From The Studio..

Just came back from the studio . A Crazy february so far , i am working on the Soho Haus Berlin Piece , 2m to 3m, Then on four pieces for my peole in australia at 19Karen gallery ,and to my Newyork show. The Brushes are glowing , my head is Boiling , as always so happy to see where all this will bring me. Enjoy.

Curated by Johann Haehling von Lanzenauer , emerging artists are staffing the lobby of Soho Haus berlin . Big things are expected , in size and quality, it is very strange to share the space with a Damien Hirst sprayed shark, it seems to call for confrontation, or at least for an opinion .
